The Ashtabula County Educational Service Center is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for he upcoming 2026-2027 School Year.

Contract Length: 184 Days

Qualifications
- Applicants need to have experience with children with autism, behavior, emotional disturbance, trauma, and/or mental health
- Experience working in PK-12 educational setting which includes the use of intervention planning and behavioral management techniques
- Must hold and maintain current certification or licensure as appropriate
Job Description
- Assess, coordinate, and implement behavior analysis services and behavior interventions plans for general education and special education students with complex/less involved and/or severe/predictable behaviors in enrolled educational programs.
- Provide support and professional learning opportunities to staff and parents/guardians in the appropriate use of behavior analysis methodologies and intervention techniques.
- Conduct assessments and develop plans that conform to IDEA, Ohio law and regulations, and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
Responsibilities
- Provide and help develop behavioral services at all three RTI Tier levels
- Develop professional development opportunities, materials, and provides resources for administrators, educators, paraprofessionals, and other support staff of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and/or other evidenced-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with behavioral challenges in accordance to federal/state/IDEA laws and regulations
- Observe and gather data for administration of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and implementation of Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP).
- Effectively develop plans as directed by data and assessments.
- Create and assist contracted district staff with the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIP’s), ABA programs, and other appropriate programs for students with behavior/learning challenges.
- Provide direct intervention services to students who exhibit inappropriate behaviors and prove support and professional learning for staff who work with these students.
- Manage assaultive behaviors by using best practices and as a last resort, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI)
- Effectively provide clinical supervision of Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBT) as directed by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- Assist with successful student transitions for students who are transition to or from an alternative placement.
- Collaborate with public and private agencies to offer recommendations and consultation that foster appropriate social skills and prevent behaviors for the purpose of effective learning in the educational environment.
